Jukeboxes and SQL! Not a combination you hear often, but both are basically the same job: figure out why something isn’t working, find the elegant solution hiding inside the mess, and make it run smoothly enough that nobody has to think about it again.
My journey into data began in 2018, spanning BI, solution engineering, and data stewardship. I love SQL joins and window functions. What keeps me engaged isn’t the dashboards at the end, it’s the query that gets you there. I currently work in SQL, Python, and LookML, and I lean into AI wherever it makes the work sharper or faster. I spent my early days in data creating automation with VBA and Excel. Amazing what you can build when that’s all you have.
When I’m not banging away at a keyboard or recapping an amp, you can usually find me on a bicycle or kayak, adding miles to the fitness stats.
